Conference theme: Paradigm Shift of TMD Diagnosis and Treatment

Dear colleagues,

It is great pleasure that the 2nd Asian Academic Congress and the 24th annual meeting of Japanese society for Temporomandibular Joint will be held in Hiroshima, Japan July 23 and 24, 2011 and we will have outstanding speakers who have excellent achievements in Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) research from Asia/Oceania and USA.

The causes of the temporomandibular disorder are diverse and the occurrence and management in each country are different. So, the theme of Paradigm shift of TMD diagnosis and treatment will be reflected in the many collaborative sessions that will bring together experts from the different region such as Japan, Korea, China, Turkey, Philippine, Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Australia and beyond to discuss common areas of interest, introducing new concepts and research findings as well as share knowledge in areas of difficulty or even failures.

It is the same time an opportunity to strengthen understanding and interdisciplinary cooperation amongst member countries.

We are very pleased to organize and host this event and are determined to provide you with an educational and social occasion that will be remembered for many years to come. We are confident of a memorable congress in all aspects, and we look forward to your concurrence.

* All delegates will be considered as registered only after payment in full is received.    

* On-site registration is possible at registration counters situated at RIJYO KAIKAN HOTEL/HIROSIMA PREFECTURAL CULTURE CENTER.

* All payments are to be made by cash in Japanese Yen.

Registration fees include:

1. Admission to all scientific programs and exhibitions

2. Documentation including the book of Abstracts

 

Form of Presentation

1.  A delegate is only allowed to present one poster; however he or she can be a co -author of other papers.

2. Only poster presentation in English will be submitted

3. Foreign Speakers will use English

4. Domestic Speakers will use English

5. Presentation and Q&A: Free discussion will be conducted from 13:30 p.m. till 14:30 p.m. on July 23.

Removal of posters: 16:00-16:30 p.m. on July 24

* Presenters are requested to wear the tag with a ribbon and stand in front of their own subject.

Poster information

1. A panel board (180cm90cm) will be prepared with the subject number. The subject number (20cm20cm) should be attached on the left above the board.

2. The subject title (20cm70cm) should be next to the subject number and the poster should be displayed in the space (160cm90cm), under the subject title. (Subject title: Title, Name, Institution, Presenters photograph)

3. The poster should be ready by 9:30 a.m. on July 23. Pushpins will be provided for each board.

* Poster awards will be presented at the membership reception in the evening on July 23, 2011.

Call for Abstracts

1. Application Period and System for Submitting Subject and Abstract

1. Application of subject and submission of abstract is valid from 1st February to 17th March. * Detailed information on the application of subject and submission of abstracts are available online.

2. Application System

*Domestic Application: The UMIN system is used for application of subject and submission of abstract.

* Foreign Application: The e-mail is used for application of subject and submission of abstract. Abstracts should be submitted by using following e-mail. E-mail: aactmj2@den.hokudai.ac.jp

 

2. Subject Registration Procedure

1. It is recommended to write the abstract using a word processor. Using the copy function, copy the abstract and paste it in the abstract frame on the Subject Registration screen.

2. The abstract should not exceed 250 words in English. The Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion format for the abstract of a study report. The Objective, Case, Results, and Conclusion format for the abstract of a case report.
* The subject may not be adopted if these formats are unclear.

3. Photos and charts are not acceptable.

4. Register your password to refer to and update the registered abstract.

 6 to 8 one-byte alphanumeric characters

5. Updating and modification are possible as many times as you want on the web page until the deadline.
